Interview with Sales Executive Ashley Bittle

As the top scorer in Acquirent’s Sales Fundamentals Training series exam, we sat down with Ashley Bittle to ask about her experience in the sessions and to find out some of her key lessons in learning.

Hi Ashley, what was your favorite class in the series?

My favorite class was The Ask. I strongly believe that in sales you won’t get anything you don’t ask for. For me, I really felt as if it was most applicable to real-life situations and it’s an important skill to have in business.

Many of our top sales people study and perfect their craft over time and take inspiration from other sources. Do you enjoy reading sales-focused pieces outside of work?

I read the news every morning; enjoy self-help books, Coursera, and philosophy. You’d be surprised how much you can learn about sales and people from simple books like Siddhartha.

What are your thoughts on training and continuing education in your career at Acquirent?

I feel like training and “continuing education” get a bad reputation because it sounds boring, but it’s one of the most important things to me. It will help you grow in your sales career and in life. Everybody should be a lifelong-learner!

How have you applied the lessons you learned so far from your Sales Fundamentals Training?

There was a lot of great information in the training sessions, but the ones that have helped me the most have been: having a better cadence to follow-ups, listening to a client until the end before replying, and having grit.

Any advice for new trainees?

Take detailed notes!
