Acquirent Makes Inc. 5000 for Second Year

For a second year in a row, Acquirent has been recognized as one of the fastest growing businesses in America by Inc. magazine. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment, but are not satisfied.

MAKING THE LIST … AGAIN!

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since we earned a place on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America list. The hard work of our team of sales professionals and managers, as well as our amazing clients, has paid off. This year, Acquirent ranks 1,561, moving up from 2,162. In addition to ranking among the leading 5000 companies in the nation, we also rank No. 90 in the top companies in Illinois, and No. 83 in the Chicago Metro Area.

In the past year, Acquirent has seen amazing growth. Since 2012, we’ve added more than 45 jobs, representing a 255% growth in our team. And our growth plans are very ambitious. We have no intention of stopping here!

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR US

The Inc. 5000 award validates that what we are doing is important and that there is a need for our services in the marketplace. When we began this company, Acquirent was created, designed, marketed and sold as a solution for small businesses. Today, we serve those clients as well as some of the largest companies in the world.

“Acquirent has come a long way since our extremely humble beginnings working out of, at one point, my kitchen,” says Geoff Winthrop, executive vice president. “Making the Inc. 5000 list two times running is a great accomplishment for us, as it validates what we have believed all along: The need for highly effective, professional, dedicated inside sales is a must for most organizations. We are excited about our accomplishments, but we are not doing any touchdown dances yet. We have a lot more to do for our clients.” The acknowledgment also propels us to continue to provide amazing opportunities for our sales reps.

“This award drives us to put our team in positions to grow and learn professionally,” says Jeff Purtell, chief operating officer. “It also helps us to be successful sales people by spurring our internal drive and motivation to always do better than we have in the past. That just keeps us driving each day to grow a great company.”

THE NEXT 6 TO 12 MONTHS

With this award, the entire leadership team, myself included, is invigorated to work with a terrific group of salespeople who are driven for results. In the next 6 to 12 months, we plan continue to sell, teach and grow.

“Sales is the lifeline of every business,” says Winthrop. “If a business is not selling, they won’t be in business for long. That said, we serve a vital role for our clients and that is pretty cool.”

With that said, we’re committed to providing this lifeline to our clients and play this vital role. In addition, we look forward to challenging ourselves internally.

“We look forward to replicating what has gotten us to where we are today, be our toughest critics and constantly improve the way we operate so we can say next year that we are on the Inc. 5000 list for a third year in a row and higher on that list yet again,” says Purtell.
